- Robert Eijkemans, senior employee Policy Implementation Safety and Enforcement
Your new challenge
As an Environmental Law Supervisor, you will be working in the Safe Environment team. Our team consists of 15 colleagues. In addition to VTH, we deal with Safety, APV (Boa's) and environment/sustainability. You will strengthen us in the field of Permits, Supervision and Enforcement. It is a broad function also in the field of housing (labor migrants) and undermining.
The municipality of Son & Breugel is a green, Brabant municipality. There is an informal atmosphere here, we all know each other. We consist of about 80 colleagues and work from our new office building in the center of Son & Breugel. We stand for a safe organizational environment in which you can co-determine your growth and development path. The possibility to explore 'horizontal excursions' in your own growth path is possible, think of other task areas.
These will be your duties
- You will independently supervise the implementation of Wabo permits (including construction, demolition and monument activities, supervision of building safety plans), building without a permit and contrary use of buildings; this includes more complex cases.
- You independently decide on on-site measures such as stopping construction / making provisions in case of emergencies or observed shortcomings.
- You identify deficiencies in enforcement and initiate the acquisition procedure.
- You identify relevant developments for improvement of policy and implementation.
- You will advise on objection and appeal cases in collaboration with other sectors.
- You will be deployed in local actions and actions of the Dommelstroom Intervention Team and during integral inspections, think housing (labor migrants) and undermining.
According to your colleague Robert, this is our ideal candidate
"Do you have a completed MBO education with work experience in Environmental Law/Building or a college education in the direction of, for example, Architecture? Knowledge of laws and regulations in the field of construction? You have strong communication skills, you can really listen and you are good at maintaining contacts. Convincing people of your point of view, ideas or plans is no problem for you. In this role as an Environmental Law Supervisor it is important that you are analytical, you see connections in issues and understand underlying relationships. An eye for situations that may indicate subversive crime or other abuses is also important. You pass on these signals. You could be our suitable candidate! Humor is very important to us. Municipality of Son & Breugel has an informal culture, we need to fit in with you, but vice versa of course too. We look forward to your response!"
