Services in the broadest sense of the word

I am one of the telephone operators you get on the phone when you contact the municipality of Nuenen or the municipality of Son en Breugel. I also work as a receptionist and front office employee at the civil affairs desks. I enjoy helping our residents get answers to their questions. My work is fun, varied and rewarding. Service is really my thing!

Public Affairs

On February 1, 2008, I started at the municipality of Nuenen as a public affairs officer. At that time there was no Customer Contact Center. We also did not yet work by appointment. A lot has changed in the past 12 years. Municipal services have increased in the positive and broadest sense of the word.

 

Start Customer Contact Center

The creation of the new Customer Contact Center and associated telephone contact center was quite a challenge. The Customer Contact Center is always evolving. Feedback from departments and residents is important to work optimally and to improve our services. In 2019, we started with a new case system. This is a large project on which many colleagues are working. Step by step, all services for citizens will be included in this system. The new system looks very clear and I enjoy working with it. With the introduction of the case system we can serve our citizens even better.

 

My role in the organization

On April 1, 2014, the Dienstverlening departments of the municipalities of Nuenen and Son en Breugel were transferred to Dienst Dommelvallei. As an employee of the Service Department, I not only answer the phone; I also work as a receptionist and front office employee at the civil affairs desks. In all these positions, I help residents and visitors find answers and solutions in many ways. You are constantly dealing with different people and all kinds of questions. That makes my work very varied and rewarding.  

Ancillary activities

In addition to my current work, I also have the opportunity to engage in many side activities. For example, I am involved in the telephone switchboard, the introduction of the blue zone in the municipality of Nuenen and I participate in the "Elections" project group. Together with my colleague Yolanda Schoonbrood , I also organize activities for the employees of Dienst Dommelvallei. Such as a sports evening, team building day, employee meetings and the Christmas celebration. I do all my work with great pleasure. With my colleagues I form a close team and together we solve everything. This makes the atmosphere on the work floor very pleasant. Service is really my thing, in the broadest sense of the word!
