Team Policy and Strategy Space
The traffic policy officer is a colleague of the Strategy and Space Policy team. The team consists of 20 colleagues who work within a wide range of fields namely economy, recreation and tourism, public housing, land matters, traffic and urban planning. In addition to policy-making, this team is also where the strategic contact with our partners outside City Hall takes place. The team has a strong relationship with the political side of the municipality and the region.
Your position
As policy officer traffic you are in charge of policy advice and development in the field of traffic and transport. Together with your colleagues from the strategy and policy team, you are responsible for internal and external coordination with other policy sectors.
What else do you do
- You will develop, implement and evaluate traffic and transportation policies.
- You will advise and inform the board and management on regional and other traffic issues.
- You will participate in spatial project groups (including housing projects).
- You will supervise public participation meetings and information evenings.
- You will handle traffic questions, complaints and/or reports.
- You will handle the application and processing of relevant grants.
Our wishes
- We are looking for an independent colleague with an open and business mind. An expert colleague and initiator with experience in the policy area of traffic and transport.
- Working integrally comes naturally to you, as a team player, and customer orientation is of paramount importance to you.
- You have at least HBO working and thinking level and a completed HBO education in the direction of traffic and mobility. In addition, several years of relevant work experience is a plus.
- You have a well-developed administrative antenna and know how to deal with the various interests in the field.

What else can you expect?
- A position between 28 and 36 hours per week.
- The salary is between € 2,756 and € 4,494 per month (scale 10 based on 36 hours per week)
- In time, with excellent performance, a walk-out scale (scale 11) is available.
- Individual Choice Budget of 17.05% of your gross annual salary (made up of vacation pay and year-end bonus, among other things).
