Dommelvallei service appoints Bart van Bree as new director

Bart van Bree (44) has been appointed by the board as the new director of Dienst Dommelvallei, the joint work organization of the municipalities of Son en Breugel, Geldrop-Mierlo and Nuenen. On Feb. 1, 2026, he will officially take over from Nanne Kramer, who has been director since Dec. 1, 2024 and during that period has worked, with much appreciation, to implement the business plan adopted by the board.

Bart van Bree brings extensive experience from complex public organizations. He now works as an (interim) manager in the social domain at the municipality of Rotterdam and previously held managerial positions within and outside the social sector. Van Bree studied social geography and urban planning at the universities of Nijmegen and Utrecht.

"With Bart van Bree we bring in a people-oriented, connecting and analytically strong director," said Suzanne Otters-Bruijnen, board chair of Dienst Dommelvallei. "We are confident that he will take our organization further in its development."

With his background in organizational development, (inter)municipal cooperation and administrative environments, Van Bree fits well with the course that Dienst Dommelvallei will take in the coming years. He describes himself as pragmatic, people-oriented and focused on development: "I encourage employees to take responsibility, develop their talents and be proud together of what we achieve. I look forward to working with employees and the 3 member municipalities to build a strong, connecting and future-oriented organization."

ln his spare time, Van Bree, along with his partner, is a foster parent and active as a director with the association Scouting Nederland and the Scouting Nederland fund.
